The research focuses on the transcription and musical analysis of traditional Easter songs from the district of Uripa, province of Chincheros (Apurímac), with the aim of understanding their sonic organization and their value as intangible cultural heritage. The festivity is understood as a complex cultural system where musical, ritual, social, and symbolic dimensions converge; therefore, the music is studied both in terms of its internal structure and its function within the festive context. The study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach based on indirect observation through audiovisual recordings, which allows repeated review of performances and ensures accuracy in the musical transcription process. This procedure facilitates the identification of melodic, rhythmic, harmonic, and formal patterns, as well as technical and interpretative resources characteristic of community practice. The analysis integrates music theory with a sociocultural perspective that conceives music as a living and situated practice. The results reveal melodic and rhythmic structures consistent with Andean musical traditions, characterized by repetition, interpretative flexibility, and collective participation. Functional harmonic resources and expressive variations linked to the ritual nature of the festivity are also identified. Overall, the research demonstrates that transcription and musical analysis are key tools for preserving, valuing, and disseminating the repertoire of the Easter celebration of Uripa, providing useful documentation for educational, cultural, and academic contexts.
