PROPUESTA DE REPERTORIO PROGRESIVO PARA SAXOFÓN BASADO EN ADAPTACIONES DE MÚSICA BARROCA PARA ESTUDIANTES DE EDUCACIÓN ARTÍSTICA EN AYACUCHO, 2025

La presente investigación tiene como finalidad diseñar una propuesta de repertorio progresivo para saxofón, basada en adaptaciones de obras de la música barroca, orientada al fortalecimiento técnico y expresivo de los estudiantes de la carrera de Educación Artística en una institución de formación superior en Ayacucho. Partiendo de un enfoque cualitativo-descriptivo, se realizó un diagnóstico del nivel técnico de los estudiantes, identificando limitaciones en el desarrollo de habilidades interpretativas y en el acceso a repertorio adecuado para su contexto formativo. Se establecieron criterios de selección y adaptación que consideran aspectos pedagógicos, estilísticos y técnicos, tales como la progresión gradual de dificultad, la fidelidad al lenguaje barroco y la funcionalidad didáctica de cada pieza. A partir de estos criterios, se elaboró una propuesta estructurada por niveles (básico, intermedio y avanzado), con obras seleccionadas y adaptadas al saxofón, acompañadas de fichas analíticas y orientaciones metodológicas. Los resultados evidencian que la integración de repertorio barroco adaptado puede contribuir significativamente al proceso de formación musical, estimulando la comprensión del estilo, el desarrollo técnico progresivo y el fortalecimiento de la identidad interpretativa del estudiante. Se concluye que dicha propuesta es viable, pertinente y replicable en otros contextos de educación musical.

This research aims to design a progressive repertoire proposal for saxophone, based on adaptations of Baroque music works, focused on enhancing the technical and expressive skills of students in the Artistic Education program at a higher education institution in Ayacucho. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, a diagnostic assessment of students’ technical level was conducted, identifying limitations in their interpretative abilities and lack of access to suitable repertoire for their educational context. Selection and adaptation criterial were established based on pedagogical, stylistic, and technical aspects, such as gradual difficulty progression, fidelity to the Baroque style, and the didactic functionality of each piece. From these criterial, a structured repertoire proposal was developed across three levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced), with selected and adapted works for the saxophone, complemented by analytical sheets and methodological guidance. The findings show that the integration of adapted Baroque repertoire can significantly contribute to the students’ musical education by promoting stylistic understanding, technical development, and interpretative identity. It is concluded that this proposal is feasible, relevant, and replicable in other music education contexts.
