The main objective of this research was to analyze the relationship between household socioeconomic factors, student employment, and their academic performance at the “Condorcunca” Public Higher School of Artistic Training in Ayacucho. To this end, a hypothetical-deductive method was applied, with a nonexperimental, cross-sectional, descriptive-correlational design. The type of research was classified as basic. The sample, selected through non-probability convenience sampling, consisted of 58 students out of a total of 150 enrolled in the odd-numbered semester, excluding those with irregular status or who had dropped out. Data analysis included cleaning and coding using SPSS v25 statistical software. Data processing and analysis techniques were applied, including descriptive statistics and correlational analysis using Spearman's coefficient, and hypotheses were tested with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed no statistically significant relationship between family income, socioeconomic status, or student employment and academic performance, with the null hypotheses being accepted in all cases. This suggests that in this particular context, academic performance is determined by variables other than socioeconomic status and student employment, highlighting the need to explore other factors that influence academic success.
